In the old Central Continent War, the Helic Republic developed this lion type Zoid to oppose the Zenebas Empire’s Sabre Tiger. Travelling at a maximum speed of 250 km/h, it surpasses the Sabre Tiger. This speed can be obtained because of the cooler on the power system and special aerodynamics.
Shield Liger is the leading Zoid of the Helic Republic.

Battle Story
ZAC 2099… In order to find a decisive winner of the old Intercontinent War between the Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic, the Empire sends a force to the Western Continent of Europa. The Triangle Daras between the Dark and Central Continent has become impossible to cross due to a very strong magnetic shield so the Imperial troop detours to the Western Continent. Realising this, the Republic army also sends forces to the Western Continent. The Empire sets up base on the west side of the continent while the east side is claimed by the Republic.
In the central-south of Europa is the Mercurius Lake. In the centre of the lake is Mt Olympus, the highest mountain in the Western Continent. From the top of Olympus, all of the continent can be overlooked.
The new war begins with the battle to occupy Mt Olympus.
